Hi I’m Tessa the founder of Legal Tender Jewellery.

Apart from a few workshops, I am a self taught jeweller who has been making jewellery for the past 5 years now. Making jewellery is my happy place where I can express my creativity through metal smithing. 

My creations are all hand made by me from solid metals, silver or gold. I strive for authenticity and quality so you wont find any plated jewellery here sorry.

Depending which country I am in will depend where my metals are purchased from. But I do only source metals from New Zealand and Australia.

Supporting local and ensuring quality remains.

The name Legal Tender comes from the original use of precious metals, trading.

No matter how you manipulate gold or silver it can always be put back to its original form and used as legal tender anywhere in the world. It's a natural source from mother nature and will forever remain.

With a raw aesthetic finish and each piece being unique we stand proud for none of our jewellery being ‘perfect’ and each piece being perfectly imperfect, having flaws to flaunt.
